For over forty years Union City Filament has been producing x-ray filaments for medical imaging devices in use by healthcare providers across the world. Today our filaments are part of imaging systems at the forefront of digital CT scanning technology. X-ray filaments are typically single helix cylindrical coils. Leg formations, coil diameters, wire diameters, numbers of turns, and turn spacing can all be modified to adapt with the next stage cathode assembly. Flat emitters and coils with flat sides are also possible. Typical material types include tungsten and 3% rhenium tungsten.
X-Ray Filaments
UCF-SK001
Single Helix Filament with legs formed perpendicular to the coil axis. Most commonly used in X-Ray Tubes.
UCF-SK002
Single Helix Filament with legs formed outward and then perpendicular to the coil axis. Most commonly used in X-Ray Tubes.
UCF-SK003
Single Helix Filament with legs formed perpendicular to the coil axis and then parallel to the coil axis. Most commonly used in Scientific Instruments.
UCF-SK004
Single Helix Filament with legs formed perpendicular to the coil axis, 180 degrees apart. Most commonly used in Scientific Research Applications.
UCF-SK005
Single Helix Filament with legs formed parallel to the coil axis. Most commonly used in Mass Spectrometers.
UCF-SK006
Single Helix Filament with legs formed parallel to the coil axis. Most commonly used in Scientific Instruments and Ionization Gauges.
Regardless of what your end application is, Union City Filament’s expert engineers will work with you to design the best filament or heater to suit your needs.
