Union City Filament manufactures a variety filament designs that are being used in scientific research applications, process control applications, and material processing and certification applications. Filaments used in these capacities are in many cases part of mass spectrometers, leak detectors, and other analytical sensors.

Filament designs vary greatly in such equipment, but Union City Filament is accustomed to recommending appropriate filament configurations and modifying specifications to suit equipment requirements and functionalities. Material types functional in these applications range all Union City Filament standard material types. Scientific instrument filaments are available coated in one of our alumina coating blends.
