Planar and Spiral Designs

Planar and Spiral heaters and filaments manufactured at Union City Filament reside in many of today’s most advanced scientific research and defense systems. These configurations consist of single helix or double helix designs having all turns aligned on one plane or formed into concave spirals at specified spherical radii. Leg formations, coil diameters, wire diameters, numbers of turns, and turn spacing can all be modified to meet application requirements.

Material types functional in these configurations range all Union City Filament standard material types. Planar and Spiral coils are available coated in one of our alumina coating blends.
